Blaye to Saint-Martin-Lacaussade 6.6km Ramble

Photos from our Ramble from Blaye to Saint-Martin-Laucuassade in March 2024.   6.6km Ramble - mainly flat.   A mixture of tarmac roads, roads through the Citadel some grassy tracks and the last half on a tarmac cycle track. Only a lttle shade on this walk. Points of interest - The Citadelle de Blaye, vineyards and chateau, the old railway line. Start point - Parking for the Citadelle de Blaye off Rue Pierre Semard in Blaye (33).   We had lunch in Le Petit Port, 3 Cr du Port in Blaye 33. Courpignac 5.9km Ramble through the forest

Pictures from our walk through Courpignac in March 2024. 5.9  km Ramble - Undulating but nothing very steep. Partly on forest tracks and the rest on small tarmac roads.   Some shade in the forest sections. Points of interest - The church, the forest and ponds and La Dionne. Fontaines-d'Ozillac including La Petite Chapelle 6km Ramble

  Photos from our March 2024 ramble in Fontaines-d'Ozillac 6 km Ramble - Gently undulating walk with nothing steep.  It is possible to lengthen this walk should you wish by looking at google or IGN maps.  This walk doesn't tend to get too wet even after a lot of rain (although there can be long grass in the field along the railway line).. A mixture of small tarmac roads and grassy tracks. Mainly in the open with no shade Points of interest - The Petite Chapelle, the church and other buildings in the village.  Start point - Parking by the Mairie in Fontaines d'Ozillac, 2 rue Saint-Laurent 17500.
