Blaye to Saint-Martin-Lacaussade 6.6km Ramble

Photos from our Ramble from Blaye to Saint-Martin-Laucuassade in March 2024.

 6.6km Ramble - mainly flat.  

A mixture of tarmac roads, roads through the Citadel some grassy tracks and the last half on a tarmac cycle track.

Only a lttle shade on this walk.

Points of interest - The Citadelle de Blaye, vineyards and chateau, the old railway line.

Start point - Parking for the Citadelle de Blaye off Rue Pierre Semard in Blaye (33).  

We had lunch in Le Petit Port, 3 Cr du Port in Blaye 33.

Floirac and Mageloup 6.3km Ramble with Estuary Views

Photos taken from our walk in September 6.3km Ramble - undulating with a couple of moderate climbs up and down. Highly recommended walk. A good mix of off road on grassy tracks and linking small tarmac roads.   No shade. Points of interest - The church and cemetry in Floirac.  Wonderful estuary views and views over the surrounding countryside. Start point - Parking above the Mairie and near the church in the centre of Floirac. Photos from the same ramble in May. Courpignac 5.9km Ramble through the forest

Pictures from our walk through Courpignac in March 2024. 5.9  km Ramble - Undulating but nothing very steep. Partly on forest tracks and the rest on small tarmac roads.   Some shade in the forest sections. Points of interest - The church, the forest and ponds and La Dionne.
