Image
Photos taken on our July walk around Jonzac. 6km Ramble - mainly with some steps/stairs and a steepish climb to the windmill.    The walk can be done in either direction.  Various little changes can be made to the walk to suit your interests. Largely off road in parkland plus a couple of short sections through the town on tarmac roads/pavements. Some shade and numerous points close to the river.  Avoid seasons September / october when the mosquitos are at their worst. Points of interest - The town of Jonzac (Chateau & medieval streets), the watermill and windmill and the River seugne. Start point - Parking in "Les Antilles" to the left past the Casino and near Chez Bret Watermill. The route market on a Jonzac tourist office map.
