Floirac and Mageloup 6.3km Ramble with Estuary Views

Photos taken from our walk in September 6.3km Ramble - undulating with a couple of moderate climbs up and down. Highly recommended walk. A good mix of off road on grassy tracks and linking small tarmac roads.   No shade. Points of interest - The church and cemetry in Floirac.  Wonderful estuary views and views over the surrounding countryside. Start point - Parking above the Mairie and near the church in the centre of Floirac. Photos from the same ramble in May. Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan and the River Seugne 6.5km Ramble

Photos taken on our ramble in Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan.   6.5km Ramble - relatively flat walk.  Largely off road  with some linking sections on small roads. Mainly in the open without shade. Points of interest - The section near the River Seugne with the lill and ruin, but also the church in Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan. Start point - Parking the in Rue du Stade, 17500, Saint Germain de Lusignan. This is a road off the D252 Avenue de la Liberation near the Salle Polyvalente.  Link to GPX itinerary: (to be added). Saint-Dizant-du-Bois 6.4km Ramble, fields, vines and windmills

  Photos taken on this ramble in Saint-Dizant-du-Bois. 6.4km Ramble in rough figure of eight shape around the countryside in Saint-Dizant-du-Bois - undulating but nothing very steep  It is possible to lengthen this route quite easily by looking at Google Maps. Largely off road of chalky or grassy tracks but with some sections on small tarmac roads. Mainly open with one small section in the shade.  Points of interest - The Church and Cross in the village, plus some old windmills and good views.  Start point - Parking by the Mairie in Saint Dizant du Bois just off the D147 direction Spiruline. Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde 5.6km Ramble taking in Civerac

  Photos taken during this ramble in Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde. 5.6km Ramble - undulating walk with some steep climbs.  Walk can be done either clockwise or anti-clockwise to add variety. Largely off road and grassy tracks through the vines and fields with some linking road sections. This walk is mainly in open areas with little shade. Points of interest - Mainly the nice views over the estuary and countryside but also the church at Saint Fort plus some mills and other buildings on the way. Start point - Parking by the Mairie, 1 place de l’Hotel de Ville, Saint-Fort-Sur-Gironde off the D2).  Normally a few places available or park on the grass below.
