Hand drawn map of the route with digital text added
- the route is the grey line with numbers described below.

1. Walk towards the Salle Polyvalente and then turn left.  Before the bridge, cross the zebra crossing and walk up the road past the church.

2. At the main road turn left and then take the second road on the right.

3. After the level crossing over the railway take a right turn into a field.   Follow the edge of the field and turn left and eventully the footpatch will become a tarmac road which you should continue along.

4. At a T junction (with a footpath ahead), turn right and continue until you hit the main D2 road near another level crossing.

5. Cross the D2 turn right and then immediately left (before the level crossing) so that you are walking along the side of the railway. Continue along the railway, past the next level crossing, Eventually skirt around the vineyard into a hamlet (Le Breuillet).

6. Turn right onto a tarmac road and cross the level crossing.  Continue to the next cross roads and cross over and keep straight on down a road which after the last house becomes a grassy track.

7. Continue down this grassy track and soon turn right downhill towards the river.  Follow the track towards the right and pass an old watermill and follow the path along the river (there are some ruins on your right).  Eventually the path turns left towards some houses.

8. Just before the first house, turn left along the track with a private garden on your left and the house on your right.  Continue on this path that is higher than but parallel to the river.

9. Turn left down a path towards the river.  Then turn right past a hunting hut and follow the route of the river.

10.  When there is a chalky path away from the river, turn right.  At the top turn left and continue along this path back to the parking.

The IGN Serie Bleue 1533 Jonzac map will help you see the route in more detail and i recommend you use it.
